Aloha Serv Labbers!

As designers, we create services, products, policies and everything in-between. Our work often impacts society, the environment, and people's daily lives in ways we plan for but also sometimes in ways we don't always foresee. It's important that we strive to understand the consequences of our designs - both the intended ones and also learn from the unintended ones.

At this event we will have three speakers telling us stories and their learnings from intended and unintended consequences of their work, and ways to design services that have a positive impact on the ecosystems they sit in.

We will hear about Emily Tulloh, Aly Blenkin and Arto Maatta, who come from council and design backgrounds. They will share stories of consequences of designing or not designing with consequences for climate, community engagement, prison leavers pathways, trauma-informed assessments and digital services.
