What we're about
This social group is for anybody in Perth, Australia who loves crochet, knitting, embroidery and related textile crafts that can be work by hand in a social setting. We sit, chat and share while crafting - a glorious way to enjoy a Sunday afternoon.
The aim is to be creative, social and supportive to each other with the opportunity to learn from one another and from free occasional mini tutorials I’ll be running - watch for announcements.
Members are expected to be confident working in at least one of the crafts as it is not generally about teaching but support. I will, though, be running some beginners classes next year (or you can join the Craft Bound Meetup group to learn basics) We meet once a fortnight on Sundays, 11am - 3pm, at Settlers Cottage, 180 Pearson St, Churchlands.
We have lots of space to meet with 2 verandas and a large shelter as well as the cottage front room and lots of trees in a wonderful bush setting not far from Herdsman Lakes.
A variety of drinks and snacks are provides. Please let me know of any specific requirements. Bring your own lunch if required.
The weather on the day will determine where we set ourselves up, but I’ll be there early and keep my eyes out for you.
I’ll provide the venue, chairs and tables, refreshments and hopefully some help and inspiration!
Bring yourself, a project to work on and a friendly attitude. 😊
Cost $10/person per meeting or $7 concessions.
This is to cover venue rent, refreshments and Meetup costs.
