Willshire Piano Duo at Gloucester Music Society

A lovely programme of piano duets from husband-and-wife team Philippa Harrison and James Willshire Schubert - Fantasy in F minor, D940 Fauré - Dolly Suite Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade Book tickets at https://www.gloucestermusicsociety.org.uk/booktickets/ or pay on the door (£17) The internationally acclaimed Willshire Duo regularly tours around the UK performing a wide variety of repertoire on one or two pianos, from Saint-Saëns Carnival of the Animals and Britten’s works for two pianos to new commissions such as Duelogue by Rory Boyle. http://willshirepianoduo.com/ In addition to their performance work Philippa and James are keen educationalists, giving masterclasses and promoting music in schools. In 2015 the Duo were invited to attend a winter residency at the Banff Centre where they premiered their new commission Duelogue by Rory Boyle. Past concerts include return visits to the Fairfield Halls, recitals at the Bridgewater Hall and the Hebden Bridge Piano Festival, and educational concerts with the Lilliput and Concertini concert series. Pianoscapes-Eclectic Music for Adventurous Listeners

St Andrew's Centre

This is a monthly Sunday afternoon concert series of 'Eclectic Music for Adventurous Listeners', usually on the last Sunday of the month. Pianist Chris Long performs an hour of diverse music for piano / keyboards - everything from JS Bach to Pink Floyd and beyond - in the relaxed and informal setting of St Andrew's Centre.
