Stitch Something

Do you notice a few changes? Several months ago we talked about changing the name of the group to encourage more people to join us. The other day the light bulb came on and when I thought about the name "In Stitches" I realized that we could include sewing, crocheting, knitting, needle point, and more.....since that is what we tend to do anyway. Why not let everyone know that we have a group where any kind of stitching is welcome? The group started out as a purses and totes sewing group but that did not last long and little by little we have expanded to anything and everything from totes to tearing things apart to altering a pair of pants. Sew, I mean so, changes are taking place. I am not crazy about the background which is easy enough to change but I really like the name and banner.

Let's sew/stitch something in November! Please bring whatever you like to work on. I may announce a project that anyone who likes can work on. I still need to finish my mug rug. Sandra has found the calendar that I posted last year so that may be the November or December or even January project. I will let you know and post another picture of it in the discussions area.

We also have the room reserved for December. I will put the December meetup on the calendar so you can RSVP now if you want to. I will post details later but let's see how the RSVPs look by the end of November before we decide what to do. It will be on the 20th of December which is so close to Christmas that I do not expect to see too many members RSVPing Yes.

Hope to see you at the November meetup. Let me know what you think about the new name. The old one will continue to show up for a few weeks. I need to figure out how to change the name officially with the meetup folks.
