Jealousy- Taming The Green-Eyed Monster

In this meetup for singles and couples with psychotherapist Meriana Dinkova and guest speaker Kathy Labriola, the author of "The Jealousy Workbook: Exercises and Insights for Managing Open Relationships", you will learn tools and techniques to help you deal with one of the main forces that sabotage relationships- jealousy . You will learn ways to deal with it effectively, in ways that help you grow as a person and strengthen your romantic bonds and even create more turn on, instead of creating a distance in your relationship(s).

Jealousy is often a stumbling block for people in  monogamous as well as open relationships. Whether you are aspiring for a monogamous, or an open model of relating, you can encounter the green eyed monster. If you deal with it with the right tools, it can bring you closer together and make you even stronger, in yourself , as well as in your relationships. Otherwise the fear and anger it brings can weaken you and drive you apart.

Price- $20 on Meetup until 2pm on Thur, March 6th; $25 after that; $25-$35 at the door

There is free parking at 5th St after 7pm:)

This workshop deconstructs jealousy to help you understand what and why certain situations and people prompt such distress, and will give you some practical tools to manage your jealousy and reduce it significantly. A few of the topics covered are:
"Know your Jealousy Pie Chart: Managing the Fear, Anger, and Sadness of Jealousy," "Understanding the Difference between Jealousy, Coveting, and Envy,"
"What is Compersion and can it be cultivated?"

This was great. Both Meriana & Kathy were extremely well versed on the subject at hand. Kathy was great at breaking down the components of jealousy.
