Shabbat Lounge happens "on the "First Friday (Shabbat) or Sat Night (Melava Malka)" of the month. Come meet and mingle with other West Side Jewish Professionals in a relaxed fun atmosphere. The Shul on the Beach is focused on expanding the Social & Spiritual lives of the Westside Jewish Community. The Shul on the Beach and Shabbat Lounge, Celebrate the "Two Year Anniversary" of Shabbat Lounge and present a “Hollywood Shabbos”.

Join us for an Inspiring Shabbaton. We are proud to bring you famed filmmaker Salvador Litvak (When Do We Eat?, Saving Lincoln) aka the Accidental Talmudist, who will be sharing his incredible journey from Hollywood to Hallelujah and beyond. Friday night at Shabbat Lounge -Come watch the sunset over the ocean then meet and mingle with other Young Jewish Professional over Sushi and Sake' - An Evening with the Accidental Talmudist, How an Immigrant Kid from Chile Ended Up Directing Movies in Hollywood and Sharing Torah with a Million Followers 5:02PM Candle Lighting

RSVP Both Friday & Saturday Meals $30. Sal was born in Santiago, Chile and moved to NY at age five. He is a graduate of Harvard College, NYU Law, and UCLA Film. Sal speaks and blogs on his FB Page He produces weekly live shows and shares a daily bit of Jewish wisdom, history or humor with over a million fans. Sal has also written two movies with his wife, Nina Davidovich Litvak. His first movie was the Passover comedy and cult hit, When Do We Eat? His most recent film, Saving Lincoln, explores the close friendship between Abraham Lincoln and his bodyguard Ward Hill Lamon. The drama features a new visual style called CineCollage, which places the actors within actual Civil War photographs. He is currently developing an Accidental Talmudist book and movie.
