What we're about

We are a Stratfordian-oriented group that simply love the writings, recordings, video, and live productions of Shakespeare. A group for those who love reading Shakespeare out loud, find themselves spontaneously quoting from the Sonnets, who would rather re-read Pericles if no decent Shakespeare plays are in production, and brighten to find themselves among others who count it a great day when they better understand a passage from Shakespeare's plays or poems! Less interested in finding fault or sour-faced criticism, we're here for writers, actors, and lovers of great writing who enjoy other's enthusiasm for all things Shakespeare.

First part of Henry The 4th- Discussion and Scene Readings

Bring a copy of the play - tune into CDs /DVDs like the Hollow Crown, or Chimes at Midnight. Shakespeare lovers become that way by hearing the words read out loud, so we question, debate, read favorite passages, deeply listen to and connect with everyone at the table. So come come and bring your ShakesLuv! This play is chronologically next in the cannon, so sez the scholars, with The Second Part of King Henry the 4th coming up next month, followed by the Merry wives of Windsor. Tons of quotable passages in this play, with some of Shakespeare's most memorable characters.
