Welcome! Welcome to Shakespeare Lovers! Our group is dedicated to studying and savoring a single play  per season, followed by a post-reading DVD Party to wrap up each cycle. The minimum requirement is a familiarity with the summary of the play as the gatherings are designed to bring all attendees - from beginners to aficionados - on the same page, and allow us to enjoy the wisdom from our diverse perspectives!

Goal: My goal for the group is to ensure a focus on the art of Shakespeare's own words - chosen for their poetic beauty, their wisdom, or both - to facilitate our discussions and commentary. Great art is a wonderful way to nurture our inner beings and I hope the group would help facilitate such experiences for you!

Structure: We typically meet once a month for three months - diligently going through a third of the play with each gathering - and the fourth month is dedicated to the DVD Party! Meetings are limited to 8 members, to allow for some intimacy in our discussions,  and often a "Repeat" gathering is held to cater to more members.

Location of gatherings: The location of the gatherings is usually in Chevy Chase, MD - a walking distance away from the Friendship Heights metro stop!

Our "Shakespeare Lovers" group continues to attract a fascinating mix of people from all walks of life. Feel free to sign up and join our little circle! A favorite quote from this coming fall season's play:

"Our doubts are traitors, and make(s) us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt."
