Beginners need not worry: the focus is more on breathing and meditation than on difficult postures. So come and enjoy the results of a Kundalini Yoga Class. Classes are 75 minutes. What is Kundalini Yoga? Kundalini yoga is an ancient science or technology to awaken awareness, it utilizes breathing, mantra (sound and rhythm), mudra (hand postures), asanas (postures) and the beaming power of the mind. All this aids you, the practitioner, to live virtually in harmony with the inner self, the higher self. “Yoga is the union of the individual’s unit consciousness.” ~Yogi Bhajan Kundalini yoga is also a tool to achieve self mastery, and one of the oldest forms of human development. All yoga sets are designed to work on specific body systems, such as the muscular, skeletal, cardiovascular, glandular or reproductive system. Additionally, each set helps to balance emotional as well as mental patterns, and works towards greater awareness and well being. What you can expect! Tuning in with the Adi Mantra while sitting in a crossed-legged position and hands in prayer pose. You chant Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo (3x) This Sanskirt chant means, I bow to the infinite Wisdom of the Universe; I call upon you. I bow to the divine Wisdom within; I call upon you. 2. Warm up exercises a series of exercises or postures to warm up the spine and loosen the body in preparation of performing a Kriya. 3.Kriya a series of postures (asanas in Sanskirt) with intended results, the purpose of which is to transform your state of consciousness. Different breathing techniques are used to benefit the entire body . 4.Relaxation/Meditation There are sometimes opportunities for relaxation between postures providing awareness of the body, sensations, emotions and thoughts. Relaxation is as important as the postures. An extended relaxation and or meditation is done at the end of the kriya. 5.Class ends with a song - Long Time Sun Song May the long time sun shine upon you, all love surround you, and the pure light within you, guide your way on...(repeated twice) So come enjoy an evening of yoga. You are invited to experience an evening of asking for exactly what you need. This community event is devoted to relaxation and lots of love. It will be an evening of pure bliss! We have created a healing event that will nourish you and connect you to your true self. You can choose to focus on your chakras so that you can remember how your own inner dance feels, this will allow you to release then re-connection to all the things you love. You can also choose from the things below. I will be offering: ~Conversations with Darnell, reveal your deepest desires (using oracle cards). ~Open up your chakras with a healing back massage. (staying fully clothed on a massage table) ~ I invite you to join me for a session and create some space just for you to explore anything that is on your heart and mind. Sheree Asdot ~Hands on energy healing ~Goddess talk guidance session ~Oracle card guidance from the sacred feminine Kelly Ragucci: ~Aroma Touch massage with doTerra oils. Also offering Itovi readings, which will guide you to oils that will support your mind, body and spirit ~Kelly will have her amazing crystal bed to relax you. Kaile Dutton, Artist, Musician, and Lighworker, is an Advanced Thetahealer©, Master Energy Healer, Intuitive Reader, Medium, Sound Healer, Animal Communicator and channel. She focuses to provide healing to help all walks of life for all stages of life with her transformative readings and healing facilitations.(Kaile will not be joining us this week but will be at the upcoming events) She will be offering your choice of blended reading style or healing session using Sound Healing and Thetahealing to clear limited beliefs and energies that are holding you back from your divine self. These include downloads with vibrational sound and activations while clearing and aligning your vibration. Learn the Zentangle® Method – Part One of 12 Series Workshop Jennifer Mahonen, CZT®[masked] [masked] (please put Zentangle Method Class in the subject line) Cost: Paid in full - $125.00 for 6 classes, or if pay by class $30.00/class; 2 hours each class Materials Kit Fee (paid directly to teacher): $20.00 (paid in full participants only) # of participants: Min 5, Max 10/15 depending on size of classroom provided The Zentangle Method is “an easy to learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns,” created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. The patterns are called tangles and the tangles are a combination of dots, lines, simple c-curves, S-curves, and orbs. These simple “Elemental Strokes” are all it takes to make beautiful images, and the best part is: ANYONE can do it! You don’t have to “be an artist” to create a beautiful work of art. You just need to know the steps. As you are tangling, you are focusing on each stroke while holding your pen in a relaxed hand, breathing easily, and most importantly, not worrying about the end result. Besides having a beautiful piece of art, you will also gain creativity, self-confidence, increased focus, mindfulness, increased problem solving, reduced stress, and an increased sense of well-being – all with the simple stroke of a pen.
