This is a group for individuals (MALE AND FEMALE) who are interested in joining the fabulous world of running! This group is aimed at beginners. As a self-proclaimed marathoner, I went from couch to 5k to Marathon in just 6 months back in 2006 and for 7 years managed to run 20+ half marathons and 4+ Full marathons. I let a mental illness (depression) interrupt my progress for a year, and now I'm starting over. It's been hard to get motivated, but I still love running. My goal is to introduce others to the sport. It doesn't always have to be a solitary activity. It can be VERY social. You only need to commit to three days a week of running (if you can't meet with the group, do the run on your own at home). We'll start with a small goal and work our way up to a 5K (3.1 miles). If you want to go further, I'll help you get there! :)
