Maciej Wyrodek is a Software Tester with 6 years of experience, currently working at Rakuten Kobo. He will share his personal humbling experience from the very beginning of his career as a tester: he has spent around six months testing a new product. Then after seeing it going live, he worked in the first line of support for it. The cascade of bugs found by users shattered his opinion of the quality of his work: "Some of those issues went completely unnoticed by me. Others I knew about, but I wasn’t able to make a convincing case to the devs and business people for fixing."
At this Meetup, he’ll explain how this experience opened his mind to the new possibilities of cooperation between software testers and the support team.
Nina Marinović-Rokvić is a Project Manager at Comtrade Digital Services. Since we are expecting most of the audience to come from the fields of QA and testing, this talk will be fascinating to everyone as you will hear about the challenges faced by the support team. If you understand them, your cooperation with the support team will be even better. They are under constant pressure. The team should be very flexible since the priorities are changing quickly. And of course, it should be highly responsive.
