Comtrade Digital Services is organizing the next ShareIT Meetup where we’ll discuss the DevOps in depth, the challenges it may bring, and the best ways to approach them.

Everybody is speaking about the DevOps, but what does it actually mean for the developers and testers? Are you familiar with it but don’t know how to start on your own projects? What are the benefits? What are the threats?

We will kick-off this Meetup with a theoretical part.

Klemen Ručigaj, Lead Support Engineer with DevOps Certificate, Comtrade Digital Services, will explain the DevOps history, the concept itself, where the difference between Agile and DevOps is, and - most importantly - what is the easiest way to implement it.

The second part of the Meetup will be more practical with real-world scenarios.

Rok Intihar, Comtrade Gaming, will show us how they are applying DevOps principles to real gaming projects, and what are the most effective tricks to be ready and steady for each and every deployment.

Srečko Janjić from IBM will show you how to use the open source IBM tool OpenWhisk as a platform for your microservice-based solutions in the cloud. It is a smart tool that hides infrastructural complexity allowing developers to focus on business logic and takes care of low-level details such as scaling, load balancing, logging, fault tolerance, and message queues. It provides a rich ecosystem of building blocks from various domains (analytics, cognitive, data, IoT, etc.) and most importantly - it is open and designed to support an open community.
