BOOK DISCUSSION: WHITE IS FOR WITCHING BY HELEN OYEYEMI

Link visible for attendees

Generations of women inhabit the walls of a vast, mysterious house on the cliffs near Dover. Creaks and grumbles malignly confuse visitors in its mazy rooms, forcing winter apples in the garden when the branches should be bare. A spine-tingling tale that has Gothic roots but an utterly modern sensibility. Told by a quartet of crystalline voices, it is electrifying in its expression of myth and memory, loss and magic, fear and love.

Beaver Moon Circle

There is something wildly sacred that happens when women attune to the rhythms of mother nature, and bring forward the power of the divine feminine. The mystical moon quietly pulls Earth’s strings by controlling the ocean tides, influencing how we track time and affecting our moods and behaviors. We also recognize the lunar force that connects our spiritual feminine selves.

During the full moon we are naturally more intuitive, receptive and creative. When we gather with our sisters under the light of the moon we unearth a deeper listening to our present state and empower ourselves to live our most fulfilled life. By sharing how we really feel and what is honestly going on in our lives, we can begin to free ourselves from the charge of negativity or imbalance and begin to direct our feminine power towards light, love, and transformation.

Let's gather and celebrate together under this Full Beaver Moon!

BOOK DISCUSSION: THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO BY TAYLOR JENKINS REID

An unforgettable story of an aging and reclusive Hollywood movie icon who is finally ready to tell the truth about her luxurious, glamorous, and scandalous life. Unspooling a tale of ruthless ambition, unexpected friendship, and a great forbidden love. Set in Los Angeles in the 1950s - 1980s.

Book Swap and Chill

Needs a location

Join us at Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach for a She-Readers Book Swap!

Bring your own books to give away, a tote bag to take home all your new goodies in, and perhaps an iced beverage (for the chill part).

We'll be meeting under the pavilion next to the parking lot in the back of the center. There are picnic tables, public restrooms, and lots of shade. Feel free to bring along your own folding chair for comfort and snacks to enjoy.

Can't wait to see you there!
