Catherine Malave's career in data has spanned over three decades. After earning her BA from the University of Chicago in Biological Sciences and Ecology -- including using a summer research grant to study tropical forests in Panama -- Catherine became a Minnesotan in 1984 when she came to attend the University of MN, earning her MS in Forestry Biometrics and Statistics. She has gone on to work across banking, health insurance, health economics research, and environmental monitoring programs, in roles including data reporting, coding, and statistics and analytics.
