Shiawassee River Paddling Meetup

Headwaters Trails will meet to discuss water and land trails that we advocate for and maintain as well as events we hold on the river.

The Keepers of the Shiawassee was planning to kayak from downtown Linden to Hogan Rd for the September moonlight paddle but this has been a very dry summer.
Instead of dragging and scooting we will be returning to Seven Lakes State Park off Fish Lake Rd. in Holly Township. You MUST have a life jacket (PFD) that fits and is properly fastened. You will need lights for the back of your boat so you can be seen but do not blind the person/s behind you.
Be ready to have your boat and gear out and your vehicle parked so we can be on the water by 6:30. No problem if you are late, you can catch up.
We will regain our energy at the Holly Dairy Queen after the paddle.
Moonrise will be around 6:45. Sunset will be around 8pm. We should have a beautiful evening even though the full Corn Moon isn't until the 7th.
