Shut Up and Write! Weekend Edition

(what can I say, the misspell was bugging me) For directions, the easiest way to get there is to get on historic El Camino Real. Regardless of what direction you're coming from, (101 or 85, North or South) you need to find your way to Castro Street. So either way, you'll want to turn onto Castro from the Real. If you're coming South on El Camino, (from Palo Alto/Redwood City) you'll want to turn left on Castro. If you're coming North, (from San Jose) turn the opposite direction. (right) You'll want to pass the Performing Arts Center and you can find easy parking in most of the lots between Hope and Castro. Though you probably want to park close to the shop and thus either off Dana or Villa. (I normally turn on Hope instead of Castro and just drive past California Ave and then find parking.)
This awesome coffee shop is near the end of Castro in downtown Mountain View, a block down from Books Inc. It has a cool bar and interior, (that incidentally was just redone) with photos and art that change periodically and a comfy upstairs. The coffee is good and they also have really good food and sweets that change. When NaNoWriMo is going on, there are meetings here a lot of times and it's a lot of fun so I figured I would try a Meetup here for this group. The baristas are also really nice and the only ones who rival their latte art are the ones at B/Sw - see a trend there?
The basic schedule would be for introductions and arrivals to happen between 1:30 and 1:45 pm. At 1:45 I'm going to start writing and I'll be there for at least an hour and I may stay a little past that depending on other things. You know the deal.
As a side note, we generally meet upstairs on the second floor because it's so hard to guarantee seating at the single tables downstairs. But always look for the sign(s).
