Weekly Wednesday Lunch Meetup in San Mateo
We've moved back to grassy Joinville Dog Park for the non-rainy season! Join us anytime on Wednesdays for our weekly meetup. We're a friendly group of 5-10 regulars and totally welcome newcomers if you happen to have free time. This dog park is a small neighborhood place inside the greater Joinville Park, so no separate small dog section or double-gate entry, but there is water, poop bags & trash cans, and bench seating. Shade is limited but we put up a shade tent over the benches on hot days. We usually have the dog park almost to ourselves, and it's right by the lagoon with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Directions: The dog park is located within a regular park that has a children's area, baseball field, pool, etc., so it's necessary to walk deep into the park on the main path to get to the dog park. From Kehoe Ave., turn left into the unmarked lane after the school's black fence and before the swim center (if you get to the stop sign at Roberta, you've gone too far). Drive as far in as possible to park right before the roundabout. Take the main path from the roundabout to the left of the baseball field, turn left at the fork to cross the bridge by the sewage plant, and then you'll see the dog park straight ahead (marked by a blue dot on the map in the comments). If you're coming from SF/North, it's possible to access the park off 3rd Ave. East (J. Hart Clinton Dr.). Pass Seal Point Park on your left and turn right on Detroit Dr. This is an industrial/commercial neighborhood, but it's sometimes possible to find 1-2 open parking spots on the street by the dog park's northern entrance. You could also drive passed Detroit and make a right on the first street after the bridge over the lagoon, Anchor Rd. This is a residential area with street parking available so you can enter on the dog park's eastern end. NOTE: For safety reasons--no treats, toys, food, dogs in heat, or small children at the meetup. Kindly keep an eye on your dog at all times. Thank you!

What we're about

For lovers and companions of Siberian Huskies (and mixes). Socializing, husky interaction and training are the primary focus of this SF Bay Area group. We would like to do meet-ups throughout the Bay Area. There are a lot of Huskies out there that need interaction and we would like to help them meet up.
