Exercise Guide: Leonard Preserve

This is NOT an in-person event. Sierra Club group outings are currently suspended indefinitely due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

These Exercise Guides are intended to assist and encourage exploration of parks and natural areas in the Huron Valley Group region. Please enjoy them on your own or, using appropriate social distancing and masks, with others.

Leonard Preserve in Manchester is a wonderful mix of woods and meadows, with several opportunities to get close to the River Raisin as well. It has a range of wildflowers in bloom and, sometimes, some berries. The well-marked paths allow you to choose how far you walk, although to get much above 4 miles will required repeating some paths.

We have not posted a trail map because Washtenaw County Parks' map is excellent:

Please observe proper social distancing on the trail and wear masks when in groups. And enjoy Leonard Preserve!

NOTE: as a Washtenaw County Preserve, dogs are *not* allowed in Leonard Preserve.
