Miami Sierra Outings is a program of the Sierra Club staffed exclusively by volunteers. The primary goals of the outings program are environmental awareness, an appreciation for our wilderness areas and just plain having fun in a natural setting. Trips costs are nominal (participants pay park fees and rentals where appropriate; see trip leader for details.) Donations to our program are encouraged. We will be adding service projects, cleanups, day trips and family trips to our schedule this year. We are looking for some new volunteer leaders, too.
Meet at the Earnest Coe Visitor Center at 10:00am.
We will hike the pinelands loop trail for two to three hours breaking for lunch around midway. We will walk the Anhinga and Gumbo Limbo trails and picnic in the pinelands.

Pack a lunch and bring lots of water (half gallon at least per person). Trekking poles/walking stick are a great help for this hike. Wear long pants, long sleeved shirt a hat and closed shoes you won’t mind getting wet/muddy.
