Please join the Many Rivers Group for our first of the year, 2019, presentation by Ecologist George Wuerthner, who will present an informative and engaging power-point on wildfire and forest ecology issues and how communities can adapt to changing climate and wildfire regimes.
There will be an opportunity for Q&A.
George Wuerthner is a professional photographer and the author of more than two dozen books on natural history and other environmental topics, including "Wildfire: A Century of Failed Forest Policy "(Island Press 2006). He has traveled extensively throughout the West to review and document the conditions that favor large fires.
Presentation will take place on March 12, 2019, 7-9 pm, at The Garden Club, 1645 High St., Eugene, OR
Doors will be open by 6:45
This will also be an opportunity to meet some of the newly elected Executive Committee of Sierra Club Many Rivers Group.
