Sierra Club Outings - Cincinnati, OH

Due to forest fires near Yahoo Falls, we will keep the same schedule but change the location of this hike to the Twin Arches area, still in the Big South Fork. This new route is still considered beginner.

We will begin at Sawmill Trailhead and hike approximately 3 miles to Jake’s Place, where we will set up camp. On day 2, we will day hike the Twin Arches Loop Trail, where two impressive natural arches will tower over us, take a break at Charit Creek Lodge, and finish back at Jake’s Place for a total of about 4 miles. We hike out on the last day, again about 3 miles.

Logistics:
We will meet at the Meijer in Florence and decide on carpooling. At Whitley City, we’ll have a quick lunch (buy or bring your own) and will do the same on our drive back home.
