Comedy Diet Club (CDC): Comedy discussion & writing meetup

NOTE: This meetup will be an online event via zoom video conferencing Curious to do some serious comedy writing? Or some comedy with serious writing? Or just come up with jokes? Then this meetup is for you. The focus of this meetup would be to get together, to spend time doing some creative comedy writing and share our work for some laughter and fun. This will be an open forum for folks, ranging from complete novice (like me) to experienced comedy writers and stand-up comedians, to share comedy material, writing skills and approaches. One of the goals would be to have a healthy, encouraging and fostering environment to help comedy skills to bloom. Rough topics for this meetup session: - Sharing and try out of individually written comedy material - Writing exercises - Discussion on comedy premises - Game of Quiplash

The format of the session is: 1. A presentation on the relevant joke theory. 2. Look at example clips. 3. Discuss those jokes as a group. 4. Do writing prompts to apply those joke techniques to our own work. 5. Give each other feedback. 6. Go back to step 2.
