What we’re about
We started in 2016 as a member of PlantPure Nation, the movie and the movement, as the local group for Santa Clara Valley. In 2024, Dr. Neal Barnard's group "Physicians for Responsible Medicine" took over the groups. He suggests we add "Better Health Communities" to our name. Our mission is still the same. We are dedicated to sharing the benefits of plant strong eating--benefits to our health, benefits for the planet, and benefits for animals and all living beings. We are encouraging in a friendly and giving way. We hold pot lucks, and dinners out. We are dedicated to eliminating the suffering of animals, and the environmental devastation related to the "Standard American Diet" (SAD). We mix in a lot of fun and communal joy as we share the healthful and sustainable benefits of plant based whole food choices. Our every other month plant strong, vegan, whole food, oil-free potlucks are the best. So wonderful to have large tables full of a variety of delicious healthy food.

Potluck--vegan & oil-free
First Presbyterian Church, Fellowship Hall, 1140 Cowper Street, Palo Alto, CA, USLet's meet at 6:00 pm in a large indoor/outdoor location in Palo Alto for a delicious, abundant vegan, whole foods, oil-free potluck. Please bring your favorite vegan, whole food, oil-free dish to share along with a serving utensil and a list of the ingredients in your dish. We'll have paper and pens for you to write down your ingredients after you get there. Also please bring a plate, utensils, and a water bottle.
This potluck will be at the Presbyterian Church in Palo Alto where they have a small vegan group that meets once a month for a potluck. That group is all vegan but they are not all oil-free, so there will be some dishes there that have oil. Our oil-free dishes will have a green ingredient list in front of them so we will easily be able to identify the oil-free dishes.
