She will discuss how Netflix successfully employs a scalable cloud-based data platform to support a constant deluge of data with its small army of data analysts, engineers, and scientists. She’ll discuss the advanced analytical capabilities that are enabled using modern data technologies.
Lastly, Michelle will explore some of the architectural & operational principals that enable Netflix to so effectively make use of its data.

Previously, she led the Data Management team at GoDaddy, where she architected data engineering solutions supporting real-time personalization and helped pioneer Hadoop data warehousing techniques. She’s also a published author, award-winning open-source contributor, Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for Microsoft Data Platform, and well-known influencer in the data community.
