Join us for an Evening with Database Pioneer Fabian Pascal, as he discusses:
Foundation Knowledge for Database Professionals
Our October meeting will be a change of pace. We have the opportunity to revisit some database fundamentals with one of the pioneers of Database theory, Fabian Pascal.
This meeting will not be specific to SQL Server, so please consider inviting your non-Microsoft database colleagues to join us.
Many of us have picked up database skills along the way. Today’s development tools and available computing power allow us to get by without a deep understanding of the fundamentals of our field. The result is that many of us aren’t benefiting from that core fundamental knowledge. This presentation will show how easy it is to be misled in the absence of sufficient familiarity with data fundamentals. It’ll be a great learning experience, and may prompt you to cry, laugh or both.
