What we're about

Do you like to have fun with other like minded people?
Do you like to volunteer and contribute to your community?

Every single helping hand matters! Alone its hard to feel like we can make a difference, thats why we do what we do togeather!

We will gather at assorted events around town, existing events that need additional "bodies" to help make their event a success. We will help them with their event, and then we will reward ourselves with something fun and social immediately following. Often, these local organizations just need people to accept tickets, help with parking, event set-up/break-down, handing out flyers, or putting wristbands on attendees.

Please share the following link to organizers who would like SVLV.org to help with their event: http://www.bit.ly/singlevolunteers

This is not a dating group, we are people who care for our community and know that We Can make a difference in our community if we come together!

Disclaimer: The views of the organizations does not necessarily reflect the views & values of SingleVolunteers of LV. SVLV strives to provide services to a diverse group of organizations in hopes to utilize our full potential. SVLV members are not expected to participate in any meet-ups they don’t support or are uncomfortable with. In fact, we discourage it so as not to offend other SVLV members &/or the organization they’re assisting. SVLV is a proponent of ‘Respect each other’s differences’. Those that are not interested are asked to simply click on the X for NOT Going. We look forward to seeing you at the next Meetup!

St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer

Town Square

We have helped this amazing organization before. I feel so honored that they are allowing us to help them once again. The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.

Nevada PEP Run Walk Roll Against Bullying Event

Run Walk Roll Against Bullying Event Nevada PEP is leading the movement against bullying. Over the years, parents have called PEP saying their child does not want to go to school because they are getting bullied, our kids are dropping out of school, and parents are saying their child does not feel safe in their own school. While bullying doesn’t always leave bruises or broken bones, it can leave deep emotional scars that last a lifetime. Bullying is a serious issue that occurs throughout our schools every day and without interventions bullying can lead to serious academic, social, and emotional problems. The Run Walk Roll is an annual event. This year the 9th Annual Run Walk Roll event will be held on Saturday, October 19h at UNLV Festival Plaza. Last year we had close to 1,800 participants and this year we are expecting a much larger crowd. The Run Walk Roll is a 5k fun run and a 1.5 fun walk. We are bringing awareness and bullying prevention to the forefront. As a community we all need to be involved in all of our children's education. Kids with and without disabilities are getting bullied, we all need to take a stand against bullying to keep all children safe. Did you know...  Playground statistics - Every 7 minutes a child is bullied  More than 160,000 U.S. students stay home from school each day from fear of being bullied  43% fear harassment in the bathroom at school.  Over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide, and almost 7 percent have attempted it Remember the End of Bullying Begins with YOU! This is a really a great organization! They are asking for as many volunteers as we can offer. Let show them what we’ve got! Please! If you can, I’d really appreciate it you can spare a few hours, we could really use your help. There will be more details to come as the event gets closer.
