**RESCHEDULE #3 to Friday, August 20, 2021**
Members - in all these reschedulings, one of our attendees moved away.
If someone wants to pick up her ticket, I can Paypal her the funds.
Plus, this was PRE-COVID fee so you'll save $5.
We've had a great time seeing her over the last couple of concerts (WHERE'VE YOU BEEN always brings a tear to my eye).
Let's do it again.
Her biggest hits may have some time ago, but her beautiful voice and meaningful songs still entertain. She will be in concert at The Birchmere in Alexandria.
Remember some hits:
18 WHEELS & A DOZEN ROSES
WALKING AWAY A WINNER
WHERE'VE YOU BEEN
NOTE: If you are mainly interested in the big hits, be aware that she will likely perform some more recent songs as well.
THERE ARE COSTS FOR THIS EVENT.
Tickets are $35.00 plus Birchmere's $5.50 facility fee if bought at the box office and also available via Ticketmaster with a reduced though plus Ticketmaster's convenience fee so you do save a bit via the box office. I live fairly close and pass nearby occasionally. If anyone wants to avoid some Ticketmaster fees, I can buy your ticket(s) at the box office as I have done in the past, but would require the funds in advance (e.g. Paypal).
Curtain is 7:30PM; entry numbers are handed out at 5PM; doors open at 6.
In order for us to sit together, I or one or two member volunteers will have to arrive early and get a low Line Number. We can enter on one number, but a couple makes nice backup as schedules change.
from their website FAQs:
"The Birchmere is general admission, with all seating done on a first come, first served basis. To keep the process orderly, we use Line Numbers, which are picked up at the box office upon arrival.
The Music Hall is all seated with tables. The Flex Stage is all standing unless otherwise stated, and then it would have limited seating.
At 5pm, when the Box Office opens, we begin handing out Line Numbers to customers as they come to the Box Office. At 6pm when the Music Hall doors open, we begin seating by Line Number (i.e. the first person in at 5pm will be the first person in the Music Hall at 6pm). *Line Numbers are NOT used for Flex Stage shows. Reserved seats are NOT available, except for artists’ guests and VIPs."
If you have never parked at The Birchmere, the venue is not visible from Mt Vernon Ave, but rather behind the businesses along the avenue so the driveway is easy to miss despite GPS and the big sign for The Birchmere. Check it out on satellite.
