What we're about

Ready for fun and friendship? Join one of Central Ohio's most exclusive singles social groups to meet real people, make new friends and experience all that the Columbus area has to offer. This group is intended for the active, single person to get out into social settings that they prefer to do with other like minded singles. The focus of the group is to have a mix of everything; outdoor activities, dining out, wine tastings, happy hours, art exhibits, movies, festivals, night life, social gatherings and whatever else we can come up with!

1. We are not a dating group or service; we are a singles social group. We are not open to everyone. Our members pay a membership fee to join, and in return they can relax and feel that the organizers are taking extra steps for their safety and comfort.

2. You must have a head shot photo featuring only you, so we can identify you when you come to an event.

3. We vary the location of our events throughout Central Ohio.

4. Please, no solicitation of you or your business.

5. If you RSVP "Yes" to an event, please honor that commitment or change your RSVP to "No" within a reasonable amount of time if you find out you can't attend. This is just respectful to the group and event location. "No Shows" are no bueno.

We welcome members of all ages. Most of our members range from the mid 30's to mid 60's.

Our events are known as “Mix & Mingles” because we encourage everyone to be on their feet and engaging in conversations with other members.

Our one-time only membership fee of $20 is due at the time of membership application. For brief instructions click here: http://www.meetup.com/SinglesMingles/pages/How_to_pay_the_One-time_Lifetime_Membership_fee/ Approval cannot be granted for incomplete or nonsense responses, one word answers, or without a clear photo of the member-applicant.

Now, join us and start a new approach to making friends and perhaps finding a soul-mate in an organic way; something which online dating sites simply cannot do for you!

Mingle and Celebrate Woodstock - The Moonbats at Pastimes Pub & Grill Crosswoods

Crowd favorite The Moonbats are capturing the spirit of the late 50’s and 60’s by performing the songs that changed Rock and Roll forever. Gifted musicians in their own right, The Moonbats blend instruments and voices to create the best memories of the decades that created and changed rock music forever. This gig coincides with the Woodstock 50 yr reunion. We'll grab some food from the excellent Pastimes menu and rock out with The Moonbats! http://www.themoonbats.net to sample the music Please arrive early to help grab some tables. This band has developed a big following and it's sure to be a busy night. If you must contact the host on the day of the event, if you want to give a heads up that you'll be late, you're having trouble finding us, etc, please TEXT ONLY to[masked] and identify yourself in your text. THIS NUMBER IS FOR TEXTING ONLY ON THE DAY OF THE MEETUP. Once the event begins, it becomes more difficult for the hosts to respond to your text messages, as we are also enjoying the event. The venues where we hold our events count on us to be good patrons. Support your wait staff with generous tips and they'll be glad to have us back again. When you RSVP to attend an event, we plan for you in our numbers, and we look forward to seeing you. Be true to your intentions to join us. If you must change your plans, do so with plenty of advance notice (1-2 days is much better than 1-2 hours). If you would like to join us without an RSVP, contact the host. The cut off for RSVPs is Friday, 8/16 at 5:00 pm. The host reserves the right to cancel the meetup if the response is low. As always, feel free to bring a WingMingler (a guest). It requires involvement and some work to enlarge one's social circle. SMOCO Meetups are the perfect way to make new connections.

Monday Mingle and Munch - Happy Hour at Bareburger Clintonville

We'll meetup for happy hour at one of the top 10 best happy hours in Columbus - Bareburger. Those who are attending the Columbus Landmarks Foundation Art Walk can stroll over to that event at 6:45 (see separate meetup). About Bareburger: At Bareburger, we take a simple, joyful and organic approach to food. We believe that fresh, vibrant, clean food served in a fun place can make the world smile. Ingredients should be sourced as close to home as possible, but if Wisconsin has the best cheese and Montana knows bison as well as Texas knows elk, we believe that above all else, partnerships should make sense. We take as much pride in preparing and cooking our food as we do sourcing it. The point is, we are not those “pre-cook” guys. We do not reheat. We cook fresh, we serve fresh. We do it right the first time, even if it takes a few extra minutes. Whether you are impeccably health-conscious, or strictly appreciative of great grub, we have something you’ll happily devour. We don’t serve the biggest burger. We don’t serve the smallest burger. We serve the most responsible burger. We may not have a dollar menu, but we do have the quality, flavor and love that every organic, delicious burger deserves. Columbus Landmarks Art Walk - LAST ONE - Clintonville

20 E Dominion Blvd

I blinked and the season finale Art Walk & Landmark Talk was upon us. Many of our members are new to Central Ohio, and even "born and bred in Columbus" members can benefit from venturing into our historic neighborhoods for a refresher on what makes them so special. Columbus Landmarks Foundation offers free walking tours of Columbus area neighborhoods. They're always well attended (recent tours have attracted as many as 300 people), informative, fun and they offer prizes! Look for a separate meetup for pre-tour drinks/dinner or an apres tour get together. Giving Back – Blanket Workshop

407 W Main St

This workshop is a new branch of Meet-2-Eat where our main focus will be giving rather than eating. This is a joint meet-up w/ the Single Mingles group. I have partnered up with My Very Own Blanket (MVOB) to host workshops to make no-sew fleece blankets. MVOB is dedicated to warming the heart of every child in the foster care system with a blanket which gives them a feeling of comfort, security, and most of all, a SMILE. This is a super easy and fun way to give to Ohio children in need. All you need to do is bring yourself and $10 (cash, check or credit card) and we will show you exactly what to do. One blanket can be completed in 40 to 45 minutes. So if you feel like it, you can complete two. This meetup will meet from 6pm to 8pm. We’ll give everyone a chance to come in and get settled and start around 6:10. If you aren’t right on time that’s okay, we will fill you in on what to do so don’t stress. You are welcome to bring a bite to nibble on and any beverage you would like, that’s including alcoholic beverages. Afterwards, maybe we can walk over to Cardone’s to grab a drink?
