What we're about

Ready for fun and friendship? Join one of Central Ohio's most exclusive singles social groups to meet real people, make new friends and experience all that the Columbus area has to offer. This group is intended for the active, single person to get out into social settings that they prefer to do with other like minded singles. The focus of the group is to have a mix of everything; outdoor activities, dining out, wine tastings, happy hours, art exhibits, movies, festivals, night life, social gatherings and whatever else we can come up with!

1. We are not a dating group or service; we are a singles social group. We are not open to everyone. Our members pay a membership fee to join, and in return they can relax and feel that the organizers are taking extra steps for their safety and comfort.

2. You must have a head shot photo featuring only you, so we can identify you when you come to an event.

3. We vary the location of our events throughout Central Ohio.

4. Please, no solicitation of you or your business.

5. If you RSVP "Yes" to an event, please honor that commitment or change your RSVP to "No" within a reasonable amount of time if you find out you can't attend. This is just respectful to the group and event location. "No Shows" are no bueno.

We welcome members of all ages. Most of our members range from the mid 30's to mid 60's.

Our events are known as “Mix & Mingles” because we encourage everyone to be on their feet and engaging in conversations with other members.

Our one-time only membership fee of $20 is due at the time of membership application. For brief instructions click here: http://www.meetup.com/SinglesMingles/pages/How_to_pay_the_One-time_Lifetime_Membership_fee/ Approval cannot be granted for incomplete or nonsense responses, one word answers, or without a clear photo of the member-applicant.

Now, join us and start a new approach to making friends and perhaps finding a soul-mate in an organic way; something which online dating sites simply cannot do for you!

Giving Back – Blanket Workshop

407 W Main St

I have partnered up with My Very Own Blanket (MVOB) to host a workshop to make no-sew fleece blankets. MVOB is dedicated to warming the hearts of children in the foster care system with a blanket. This gives the children a feeling of comfort, security, and most of all love. MVOB has been giving love for 20 years. Making a blanket is a super easy and fun way to give to Ohio children in need. There were over 16,000 Ohio children in foster in 2018. It is only increasing because of the opioid epidemic. All you need to do is bring yourself and $10 (cash, check or credit card) and I will show you exactly what to do. One blanket can be completed in 40 to 45 minutes. So, if you feel like it you can complete two. This is a joint meet-up w/ the Meet-2-Eat group, Single Mingles group, Columbus Modern Quilters and now Amazing Women 50+. I usually have 2 workshops a month; one on a Tuesday evening and the other on a Saturday morning. You are welcome to bring a bite to nibble on and any beverage you would like, that’s including alcoholic beverages. Our weekday evening meetup will meet from 6 PM to 8 PM…we’ll give everyone a chance to come in and get settled and start around 6:10 PM. Our Saturday meetup will meet from 10 AM to 12 PM…we’ll give everyone a chance to come in and get settled and start around 10:10 AM. Afterwards, we usually grab some lunch at Koble Grill http://www.koblegrill.com/ My Very Own Blanket 407 W Main Street (W. Main St and S. Cleveland Ave, part of the strip mall, entrance facing Main St) Westerville, Ohio[masked] | https://www.myveryownblanket.org/ This is what we will be doing; https://www.myveryownblanket.org/uploads/1/1/1/0/111030427/fleece_blanket_directions.pdf ** In the winter months please make sure you check the event page to see if there is a cancellation due to the weather. **
