John Kelly, Director of Analytics at QxBranch, is leading the company’s development of advanced data analytics technologies. Previously, he was the Technical Lead for Corporate Data Analytics at Lockheed Martin. John has experience applying machine learning to a diverse set of domains including healthcare, supply chain optimization, sustainment, and program management. He completed his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, where his work focused on machine learning and signal processing algorithms for brain-computer interfaces.

Dmitri Adler is the Co-founder and Chief Data Scientist of Data Society (http://datascociety.co/), a data science training and consulting firm. Dmitri is a former J.P. Morgan investment banker and hedge fund analyst who used data to improve investment outcomes on over $7 billion of mergers and acquisitions advisory assignments and over $315 million dollars of portfolio investments. Dmitri manages all curriculum development for Data Society and heads Data Society's predictive analytics consulting practice. Dmitri has a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a concentration in Finance from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a double major in Economics from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia.

Speaker 3: Edward Raff, Computer Scientist, Booz Allen Hamilton

Edward Raff is a Computer Scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton, specializing in machine learning problems and solutions. As the author of the JSAT library, Edward has extensive experience implementing all manner of algorithms. In particular, he has worked on problems involving bioinformatics, signal classification, sentiment analysis, real time object tracking, and change detection. He currently works at the Laboratory for Physical Sciences researching new methods of applying deep learning to cyber security, and in particular malware classification and analysis. Edward holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from Purdue University, and is working on a Ph.D. at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
