Join us for an exciting SingularityU meetup in Eindhoven about Climate Change!
We're proud to have 2 great SingularityU The Netherlands speakers for you:
• Mark Post (https://www.linkedin.com/in/markpost1/) (Professor of Physiology at Maastricht University and CSO at MosaMeat) - Mark is the creator of the first in-vitro hamburger, cultured from meat stem cells. He will share an exciting view of the future of food.
• Sid Vollebregt (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sid-vollebregt-86671a4b/) (Managing Director at Elemental Water Makers) - Sid created an efficient desalination (reverse osmosis) solution driven by solar, wind, wave and / or grid energy to enable an a ordable and reliable fresh water supply on-site.
We will also host the final of the Global Impact Challenge, where 3 great finalists will pitch their ideas to our jury. The winner will join the 9-week Global Solution Program in Silicon Valley to develop an idea to impact a billion people positively.
The finalists:
Jonathan Breemhaar: He aims to develop a machine that can scale up the production of cultured meat.
Lex Hoefsloot: He wants to make solar powered cars a central hub for both mobility and energy so no charging infrastructure is needed.
Michiel Roelofs: He is developing tailor-made flexible and modular Photovoltaics (PV) to integrate solar energy in our everyday lives.
