Have you found yourself finishing a book you loved and want to share it with someone?
Do you need a group of sistahs who support you and want to listen to you?
You want to broaden your literary experience by being introduced to books you wouldn’t necessarily read on your own.
If you love to read, and have a desire to discuss the books you have read with the most friendly down to earth ladies you've ever met... than this book club is for you!
Sistah Circle is a Literary Club focused on celebrating literature, sisterhood and the love of reading. Our mission is to bring black women together who love to read fiction and nonfiction books (no self-help, romance or inspirational books). We will focus on books written by black writers and create a safe space for Black women to have meaningful conversations, connections and socialization. Each month we choose a book and use it as the foundation to discuss, listen, reflect and renew!
Periodically, we will have activities planned such as author readings and book signings, an annual literary luncheon, movies that correspond to books read by the group and a get together for lunch or even dinner.
Future activities might include: a community service project/initiative to spread the gift of literacy and an annual retreat.
If you are thinking about becoming a member of Sistah Circle please review the 'Pages' tab for more information.
Join only if you have the time to attend our events. Members will be considered inactive and removed from the group regardless if dues have been paid if no activity within 3 months. Members can re-join the group if they feel they can commit to attending meetings.
