What are your writing goals?

Big goals: ~ to complete and publish (or self-pub) one or more short stories (ideally individually and as a compiled set) ~ to complete and publish (or self-pub) one of the three novels still in progress Interim goals: ~ to write[masked],000 words a week

Hello, I'm Deb and I'm a chronic procrastinator. Despite plenty of inspiration and lots of notes, I can find endless ways to put off actually doing the work so this sounds great for me. I take it as a good omen the group was founded on my birthday.

What Deborah is saying about this Meetup Group

Exactly what it claims to be - a no excuses, uninterrupted, time and place to write for a full hour. I accomplish more than I do in several hours at home (where I have the constant distraction of television, the internet, and cats - not to mention cats on the internet - not sure how I ever get anything done really :) So even when I add in drive time, and the social portion - which is fun because it's always really nice people - I'm still about twice as productive thanks to SDSU&W. I'm averaging 1000-2000 words, which is great for me. During NaNoWriMo, it's a godsend as I can usually hit my daily word count in one session.
