Mindfulness Meditation group (MBSR). SITGES Mondays 2-3.30pm, weekly.

Do you find you - spend a lot of time worrying about what might happen? - are unable to sleep at night because you are ruminating about past events or possible future outcomes? - have difficulty with feelings of stress, anxiety and sadness? - get angry easily and then act on your frustrations? - feel overwhelmed? Many people feel this way. As our busy lives speed up, more and more pressures are placed upon us and at times we can feel overwhelmed. For 3 consecutive Mondays from the 2nd December onwards, Emma Reynolds, an accredited Mindfulness teacher will be exploring what stress is, how it manifests and how we can work with it. We will look at themes such as our inner critic, negativity bias, over-whelming thoughts and emotions, and give participants practical tools to help work with them. Each week we will be doing a variety of meditation practices during the hour and a half. If you've never meditated, or tried but "failed" this is a great opportunity to be supported in this practice and we look at how to sit, how to work with the flow of thoughts, body pain etc. Ideal for people interested in learning more about Mindfulness and Meditation, but equally valid for people who have perhaps done the MBSR** course and want to continue to develop and deepen their practice in a welcoming environment. Although we will use material form the MBSR course, this is an on-going group, not the 8 week course. **The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course is seen as the "Gold standard" in Mindfulness courses, and is very practical. Training the mind to notice difficult thoughts and emotions, and rather than buying into them, you learn to allow them to come and go. From this new perspective life's challenges feel more surmountable. It also promotes better attention skills, more compassion towards yourself and others, and less reactivity. Emma is an experienced Mindfulness teacher. You can read some testimonials about her here: https://www.mbsr-mindfulness.com/feedback Price: 8€ a session with a 3 week commitment. However please confirm you are coming via WhatsApp -[masked] and RSVP here.
