Hike at Sugarloaf, then Village Pizza for Food
Sugarloaf loop hike in the Anacortes Community Forest Lands (ACFL.) This will be a loop of about 4 miles with around 800' net elevation gain, but there are some ups and downs that add to that. Overall, it's a moderate hike, but you will get a workout. There's a great view from the top! Afterwards, we will go to Village Pizza in Anacortes for food and/or beverages. Bring your dog if you have one! Roundabouts are done, and traffic seems to be flowing really well now...yay! No parking pass required for this hike. If Meetup's map/location link doesn't work, use this link for location. Google Maps will allow you to search for the intersection of Mount Erie Road and Ray Auld Drive in Anacortes, but Mapquest will not. Look for the parking area at the base of Mt. Erie Road. This is just off Heart Lake Road by the covered sign and the garbage can. Allow extra time to find it if this is your first time going there. Message me if you have any questions, but keep in mind that reception is sketchy at the trailhead, and I may not get last minute messages. What we're about

Skagit Adventure Group is mostly outdoor activity oriented, but we also have Meetups that feature social events, educational seminars, live music, and more. On most of our activities, we tend to travel as a group at a moderate pace. Join us for hiking and backpacking, bicycling, kayaking, white-water rafting, live music shows, snowshoeing, skiing/snowboarding, and more. Don't see activities you like? If event organizers and others share that interest, odds are a suggestion can be scheduled for an outing. Bring a great attitude and a desire to have fun!
