Skill Boost re-runs its "Game Development for Beginners" course. This class provides an introductory course about the creation of video games in the Unity game engine.

This course will happen on the 28th of September 2019 at the Q House Building in Sandyford from 10am-4pm.

Learn to use Unity (the game engine for Cuphead, Super Mario Run, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, Hearthstone and countless others!) to create a fun beginners game!

Getting started in game development is no joke - code is confusing, icons indecipherable and confusing options just keep multiplying! Where do you begin?

Our course is designed to banish that confusion and put you on a firm foundation with the essentials of Unity - and as you start to build a game, we’ll be right there with you in the room!

Places are limited to 6 students and attendees do not need to be familiar with Unity or any other software.

The course will cover:
* The Unity interface
* An introduction to coding in c#
* Working to a design brief
* Assets and packages
* Using asset store assets

By the end of the day, participants will be familiar with the Unity development environment and with programming simple C# scripts in Microsoft Visual Studio, and will have have taken your first steps on your way to becoming a game developer!

All course materials (including powerpoint, course project and assets) along with follow-up training materials will be made available to attendees on the day.
