Advancing and Adapting in the Face of Adversity

Details
It’s hard enough to stand up a technology team and infrastructure from scratch for a huge, new venture. Doing so in the face of major industry and economic changes requires a whole other level of agility.
Frank Farro, VP of Technology at Virgin Voyages, learned this firsthand after joining the team to help launch Virgin’s new cruise line — right as the pandemic hit. During this virtual Tech Talk, Frank will share how he has navigated uncharted waters and the lessons his team has learned that will help other growing companies:
- Accomplish big things with a small team
- Successfully transition from waterfall to agile
- Build new teams and technology from the ground up
- Iterate and evolve when faced with adversity
