Details
Join us, in partnership with Transition Berkeley and The Ecology Center, for a screening of the eye-opening film A Place at the Table. The film will be preceded by a community potluck, please bring a dish to serve at least five people to contribute.
After the film we will hear from a panel of people working to address inequality in the food system and spread awareness of hunger and food waste in our communities. They will discuss how the issues affect us here and what we can be doing to help.
Confirmed speakers for the panel are Sara Webber, director of the Berkeley Food Pantry, Sarah Palmer Defrank, policy advocate at California Assocation of Food Banks and Melanie Moore, director of ALL IN Alameda County, with more to come. Stay tuned!
