How can we know something is true or not?
During times of false news it is difficult, if not impossible to know what to believe and what not. This sense of not knowing makes many people feel anxious, some even get angry and many just feel helpless, because it undermines the social cohesion of our society.
On the other hand you may experience similar feelings when you believe that you know something, but other people cast doubt on it or refuse to believe you. Take climate change for example. Luckily, most people have come to accept climate change as a reality based on the 97% scientific consensus.
But how do we know? Do we just accept what the majority is telling us, or are there other aspects to consider?
Join us in tonight's conversation to explore together how we humans come to know something.
