Hello Book Clubbers!

For September Book Club we'll be reading New York Times bestseller, Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World by Adam Grant.

"Originals is about how to champion new ideas and fight groupthink.

Using surprising studies and stories spanning business, politics, sports, and entertainment, Grant explores how to recognize a good idea, speak up without getting silenced, build a coalition of allies, choose the right time to act, and manage fear and doubt; how parents and teachers can nurture originality in children; and how leaders can build cultures that welcome dissent."

Want to download a trial chapter before you commit to reading the whole book? Grab chapter 3 for free on Adam Grant's official website:

With rave reviews from distinguished leaders and authors including Sheryl Sandberg, Malcolm Gladwell, Peter Thiel and more, I'm excited to discuss this book with you all next month.

Before our meeting, you can also take a look at Adam Grant's discussion guide (http://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/955681_1528a0ab6c6b45789cb40b214952b25e.pdf), which should help us through some of these topics.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately the meeting room at New York Public Library can only hold a maximum of 15 people. Please hold your spot by RSVP'ing. Once we hit our max, we'll have to wait until someone drops out before accepting any additional attendees.

Looking forward to seeing you then!

Sincerely,
Lana

P.S. Don't forget to add your future book wishes and meeting location ideas to our discussion boards (https://www.meetup.com/Artisan-to-Entrepreneur-Book-Club/messages/boards/).

P.P.S. Apologies for making the start time a little earlier than usual. The meeting room is only available until 7:30, so starting at 6 will give us enough time to discuss and leave before they lock up. Any latecomers are still welcome!
