In this session, Shopify's Developer Advocacy Lead Tiffany Tse will talk about how to begin auditing the accessibility of ecommerce stores and improve the experience for everyone.

Browser Security and secure server communication in JavaScript Applications

CORS and CSP is an integral security concept of every browser - which can be unfortunately very complex. That leads to the situation that less than 1% of all web-sites implement correct CSP rules.

When creating complex JS applications or even just JS-heavy sites, it is important to understand the fundamentals of these concepts and their implications to security and performance of your application.

For JavaScript applications which consume data from different APIs and services, it is crucial to understand these to prevent attacks resulting in malicious content or identity thieves on in web pages.

This talk gives a quick overview of the available mechanisms and how to implement them.
