What is your favorite game?

As far as board games go, I (like pretty much everyone else who's ever played it) enjoy Settlers of Catan. Apples to Apples is also quite fun, but I also enjoy more time consuming games such as Axis and Allies and strategy games of that vein. Other favorites include old family favorites like Clue and chess (Though I'm not very good at it.) Slightly relevant is my enjoyment of tabletop RPGs, though my experience with those is limited to D&D.

What kind of games do you like to play?

All types, really. Card games, strategy games, wargames, tabletop RPGs, cooperative and uncooperative games... The list goes on. It's always fun when a game invokes humorous scenarios, though.

Do you have any games in particular you would like to introduce to the group?

I'm more of the type that needs the introducing to games rather than the other way around. We didn't have a huge gamer community in my small Midwest town where I grew up, so I never had an opportunity to play much past Milton Bradley games and Settlers of Catan (Once it became more popular.)

Why did you join Snohomish County Board Game Group?

I'd like to meet some other board gamers to, well, game with. Additionally, I noticed a lot of the meetups now happen at the AFK Tavern, which is pretty close to me which definitely piqued my interest more than somewhere out of town would. Basically, people and proximity.

I recently moved to Washington after finishing school in Wisconsin. I've been here about a year, but I've still got that fresh off the boat feeling in many regards. I'm a proud geek, being a fan of board games, RPGs, as well as history.
