How to Publish a Book - A live & interactive workshop with Sam Hiyate
This workshop is open to all of you beautiful wordsmiths who are writing (or have finished) a book and want to publish! In this workshop you'll learn how to marry your book’s story, plot, character arcs, voice and point of view to help it sell, so you can finally become a literary titan. This workshop is led by Sam Hiyate, literary agent and President of The Rights Factory, an international literary agency based in Toronto. In his 27-year publishing career he has launched the careers of numerous New York Times & Globe and Mail bestselling authors. Sam will give practical writing exercises, point out common mistakes writers make, and regale you with his vast storehouse of insider publishing knowledge, with incredible stories to boot.     So You Want to Write a Book? Social Nights & Workshops with Literary Agent Sam Hiyate

    This group is for aspiring authors who want to learn from a literary agent with 27 years of experience in the publishing industry. In our workshops we explore non-fiction, fiction and memoir. Classes include exercises and handouts aimed at helping you narrow down your own book idea and get insider guidance on how to publish.

    We meet socially on the last Monday of every month near Bathurst Station to learn from each other and hear a short talk by a writer or publishing industry professional - a new speaker every month!
