A writer's journey is never done. It takes an on-going "must-do" attitude to write and rewrite and rewrite yet again. Garnering feedback as you tackle your myriad scripts is one way to guide you. You are not alone, and we are here to help you get your project(s) written.
We are very selective about group membership, so please take a moment to read the description and fill out all of the profile questions.
We are a FREE screenwriting critique group that offers peer analysis and support for independent screenwriters. However, before joining, note that we only accept submissions for critique that are structured and formatted properly. This is not a class. While we will be happy to offer constructive criticism on treatments and outlines, writers submitting pages must exhibit a firm grasp of basic screenwriting technique, structure and an understanding of narrative development.
A typical meeting consists of 30 minutes of socializing, 1.5 - 2 hours of critique. We read 10 - 15 pages from each participant at a time, depending on the number of submissions. We will conduct a table read at the author's request, however, participants are expected to have read and annotated submissions in advance of the meeting.
We do not pass along solicitations for private classes, workshops, consultant services, film festivals, screenings or other events or services to my members, nor do we endorse any of the above. We do not support or endorse any pitch festivals. We will not allow solicitation of any kind at any of the critique meetings.
