Santa Cruz Island Camping and Kayaking Trip

We will leave Ventura Harbor on a Ferry Service named Island Packers bond for Scorpion Harbor on the Island of Santa Cruz which is 22 miles off shore. The ferry leaves at 9:00 a.m. with our camping gear and kayaks. We will return on Saturday morning leaving Santa Cruz Island at 10:00 a.m. We have 3 camping sites that will accommodate 6 tents. We can have more than 6 people but we are limited to six tents. If we have a waiting list we can try to get more camp site reservations. We plan on camping, hiking and kayaking while there. Island Packers will take plastic kayaks to the Island (not fiberglass). The cost is just over $100 for Ferry transportation and $15 for your share of the campsite. You can rent a kayak at the kayak rental site next to Island Packers. If you are interested please post that you will attend but you should email the organizer for more information. Please do not start making reservations and renting kayaks until you have contacted the organizer.
