"The Holiday Project organizes visits to people in nursing homes, hospitals and other residential institutions."
"Each year, millions of people spend their holidays confined to institutions, and as our population ages, that number is increasing. Many of these people have outlived relatives and friends, or for some, those people have moved far away. Life can be a lonely experience with few opportunities to interact with others."
"At the same time, many other people look for ways to make their holidays more fulfilling ... ways to return themselves to the true spirit of the season. The Holiday Project provides an opportunity that satisfies both of these needs."
"Our goal is to make visits to people in institutions an integral part of America’s Holiday Experience and to bring the spirit of a holiday to people who otherwise would not have a celebration."

This is organized by Odyssey Seminars / Odyssey Experience
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, volunteers visit nursing homes and sing Christmas carols.
If anyone has a heart for the elderly and wants to brighten up the day of some seniors, consider helping with The Holiday Project.
Your choice:
Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) - Anaheim
Christmas Day (Dec. 25) - Aliso Viejo, Anaheim, Buena Park, or Huntington Beach

Dec. 24 in Anaheim - 6:30pm at Harbor Villa Care Center (http://hfcis.cdph.ca.gov/longtermcare/Facility.aspx?fac=060000113), 861 S. Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, 92805.
Multiple locations (and times) - you decide where & when to go. On Christmas Eve, one nursing home is visited. On Christmas Day, one to three are visited. You can choose to visit one, two, or three nursing homes in a geographic region.
Dec. 25 in Aliso Viejo - 10:30am at The Wellington, 24903 Moulton Pkwy, Laguna Hills, 92653. Then they will visit seniors in Laguna Woods and Aliso Viejo.
Dec. 25 in Anaheim - 9:30am at Anaheim Crest Nursing Center, (http://hfcis.cdph.ca.gov/longtermcare/Facility.aspx?fac=060000031) 3067 W. Orange Ave, Anaheim, 92804. Then they will visit seniors at other facilities in Anaheim.
Dec. 25 in Buena Park - 9:30am at Knott Residential Manor (http://knottavecarecenter.com/residential-manor.html), 9011 Knott Avenue, Buena Park, 90620. Then they will visit seniors in Buena Park and Garden Grove.
Dec. 25 in Huntington Beach - 10:00am at Huntington Valley Care Center, (http://www.hvhcc.com) 8382 Newman Ave, Huntington Beach, 92647. Then they will visit seniors in Costa Mesa and Newport Beach.
