Hi Everyone.
I hope you will all be free to come to our FREE concert on Saturday Dec. 3rd at 3:00 pm at Barnum Hall in Santa Monica High School (6th and Pico) with the Santa Monica Symphony in an all Brahms program. As concertmaster I will be playing the famous solo in the 1st Symphony of Brahms. We will also be doing the Brahms Double Concerto for violin and cello and 2 Hungarian Dances. Hope to see you all there and then sailing on Sunday.
This will be a 2-3 hour sail in the Santa Monica Bay leaving from Marina Del Rey at 12:30 pm. If I have at least 3 people I will do the sail as I am arriving Sunday morning from Chicago. I am asking that you reserve for yourself and not with unregistered guests as we do not know on this site people that you might like to invite. If you contact me by phone or e-mail we might be able to make an exception.
Interlude is a 36’ Islander Sloop. You should learn a lot about sailing and all levels of sailing experience are welcome.
Guest parking is off Bali Way on the left just before the Marina Del Rey Hotel. Park on either side of the small white building which is the dock master office. The gate is G-1700 right in from of the office and the boat is slip[ 1711. Call or text 310 985 5929 to confirm and if the gate is locked when you arrive and we will come and let you in. Footwear: wear flat rubber soles that will not scuff, Sperry Topsiders are perfect.
Clothing: bring layers, please no loose scarfs, sharp objects on clothing. Hats are good if they stay on. Bring sun screen
Food: Everyone please bring sandwich type foods, cheese, crackers, fruit, etc that can be shared by all, especially your Captain. No messy stuff. Chicken pieces are always a good choice. A bag of ice is also appreciated. Please each chip in $20 for expenses. It is a lot of work to keep Interlude nice and tidy. Thanks.
Drink: Beer, White Wine, Champagne and soft drinks are all OK! BUT, drinking will be limited to just a social drink. This is NOT a booze cruise as we sadly learned the hard way recently. If you have motion sickness then please prepare an hour before if you use medication.
Please confirm your RSVP by comment below, and let us know what food you are bringing to share.
We will meetup at 12:00 pm and depart by 12:30 pm
Release of liability: By reserving your attendance for this event, you (Releasor) hereby forever waive, release and discharge the host (Releasee) from any and all claims, demands, damages, judgments, executions, rights of action or causes of action, present or future, whether the same be known, anticipated or unanticipated, which a Releasor may have, or claim to have, against any Released Party resulting from death, personal injury, property damage or other loss Releasor may sustain as a result of participating in the event or other activities related thereto. Releasors hereby acknowledge that serious accidents occasionally occur during sailing activities and that mortal or serious personal injuries and/or property damage or other loss may result from participation in the event.
