What we're about

The SoCo Visual Studio and VS Code Meetup is a professional association whose members are Developers, Testers, Data Scientists, Scrum Masters, Etc that use Visual Studio and/or VS Code to create software. We are a technically-focused independent group of professional developers who concentrate our interests in using Microsoft Visual Studio or VS Code with .NET, JavaScript and Azure. At our meetings, and other events we present information on both general and specific topics regarding these tools and the development of enterprise level quality applications. In addition, we may include discussions on other strategic parts of the Microsoft .NET platform. This includes Clients (Operating Systems, Smart Devices, etc.), Experiences (Microsoft Office, etc.), XML\REST Web Services (and .NET Services, etc.), Micro Services and Azure(App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Server, Cognitive Services, AI, Machine Learning, Etc.).

Phil Japikse Presents Entity Framework Core

Online event

Writing data access code is tedious and mundane. The simple act of creating the CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations doesn't add business value to your application, but it is an absolute necessity. In this session, I show you the core features of EF Core and how it can save you valuable time that is much better spent on providing business value and compelling features into your applications.
