The Flamingo Gardens Walk in the Wild 2014 will be a great chance to get even closer to the wildlife than usual. Flamingo Gardens (http://www.flamingogardens.org/) is small gem in the middle of Broward county, in Davie. Part botanical garden and part wildlife sanctuary it's home to some of the oldest and rarest plants and trees and, according to the website, home to Florida's largest collection of native wildlife.
This event requires a donation to Flamingo Gardens of $20 in advance or $25 at the door the day of the event. There is a donate button right on the homepage. http://www.flamingogardens.org/
Just an FYI, you can bring tripods and monopods but it will be likely be very crowded on this day.
You can also follow them on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/FlamingoGardensOrg) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/flamingogardens)
