What we’re about

NOTE: THIS GROUP IS PHASING OUT AND WILL CLOSE ON MAY 20, 2024.

Our goal is to connect widowed people in the metro Atlanta, GA area for peer support. We meet twice a month at different locations to share meals or activities and friendship, understanding and, yes, even laughter. We understand you are grieving the loss of the person with whom you believed you'd spend the rest of your life. You are not alone. We get it. This group is run by widowed people – we have been there, we understand, and we care.

All local widowed people are welcome. That includes anyone who has lost their life partner to death. That invitation is extended regardless of race, age, gender, marital status (at the time of loss or now), sexual orientation, or religion.

We stay central to the metro Atlanta area to maximize the ability for people who need us to make it to our get-togethers. Most of our meet-ups will, therefore, take place closer to the central location of the city of Atlanta.

Our events are for adults since we need a chance to talk to each other about all that widowhood brings, including parenting grieving children.
