There is a widowed community here at Soaring Spirits International that can offer you understanding, friendship, inspiration, and encouragement as you learn to live without the person with whom you intended to spend the rest of your life. Widowed people created Soaring Spirits because we discovered that connecting with other widowed people made the challenges of surviving a spouse or partner a little easier to manage. Please join us in San Diego, host city of Camp Widow West, for a social support group run by your peers. We meet twice per month at various locations throughout the city. Events are open to anyone who has lost a partner: men and women of any age, from all faiths and traditions, without regard for relationship status, sexual preference or identification, or parenting status.

"I lost my husband in Nov 2016 after a 2-year battle with lung cancer. We were together since I was 17 years old, so I I now have to create my new normal based on what interests me, not "us". They say it gets easier; staying busy helps me a lot."
